Need to get away the Red Rooster is the place. We enjoyed staying on our anniversary. It was our first time staying at a B&B and it was everything I hoped it would be. The home was beautiful, scenery breath taking, and the food was delicious. Bill & Joanne showed so much kindness and made us feel welcome and I can’t forget Stripes. Thanks again! Dicki & Betty

We just spent this past Friday night at this beautiful Bed & Breakfast. We were greeted by Bill & Joanne and sweet, sweet Stripe and shared a wonderful get aquainted time and then a “double date” to the Tater Box for a great meal! Our room was beautiful and comfortable and the breakfast Saturday morning was delicious! If you want to be treated as family and stay at a gorgeous home, this is the place for you!

What a view! What a breakfast! What great hospitality! We had such a fabulous visit to the Red Rooster B&B last weekend. I’m pretty sure my husband and I gained a few pounds from Joanne’s delicious breakfast, but it was well worth it. Thank you Joanne and Bill for a wonderful weekend! We hope to come back soon!

Breath-taking scenery, beautiful house, wonderful meals, amazing hosts, and Stripe. Who could ask for more for a get-a-way? We had a wonderful time and look forward to returning

Was a very quiet, nice place and break from everyday life. Mr.&Mrs. Hollingsworth take the time to hang out and talk with you, very hospitable. The bedroom accommodations were outstanding, and the view from any portion of their home was even better. To top off the nice stay, sights, comfort and kindness we were shown the breakfast and cooking was TOP notch!! I would recommend the Red Rooster to anyone looking to get away for a night or for those who are coming through town on the way to a further destination.

Hi Joanne,
Just wanted to thank you and Bill for a lovely time at your place and a DELICIOUS breakfast.
I’ve told so many friends about it since we got back. You may be getting some calls from some of them. I’ve also given the brochures and business cards out!
It was wonderfully relaxing – just what we needed!!
Have you been busy since the New Year started?
Hope you all have a great time in FL.
Hello to Stripe!

Dianne and I arrived at the Red Rooster Inn on a cold, blustery December afternoon and when we stepped in and met Bill and Joanne it was like putting on a warm blanket. It felt as if we had known them all our lives and even their dog “Stripe” was excited to see us! After taking a tour it was clear that the Red Rooster was exactly the place that could afford us the rest and relaxation we were looking forward to. This B&B is beautifully appointed and the floor plan provides easy access to all that is needed yet the privacy to escape into solemnity whenever desired. It sits atop a hill that is so reminiscent of what we love about Tennessee ….. rolling countryside that makes one pause and reflect on how beautiful America is and how fortunate we are to live in it. If you are someone who loves a great view, this is the place for you! The view from the kitchen table during breakfast is priceless! …… as are Joanne’s and Bill’s cooking abilities! Not long after our arrival the tranquility of the Red Rooster’s location was evidenced by the casual meandering of wildlife across its rolling15 acres. First came a group of wild turkeys, then the deer and finally some cows from a neighboring farm who have realized that the grass really is greener on the other side of their fence! The proprietors, Bill and Joanne Hollingsworth, are perfectly suited to the B&B business as they are exceptionally “gifted” in the art of hospitality and have a genuine love of people in a day and age where many have rescinded into their own lives. Their motto of “you arrive as friends but leave as cousins” couldn’t be more apropos. It was hard to leave when we had to. Our time there seemed to fly by. But it is reassuring to know that if we need to escape back to a place and people we could call “home”, we now know where we will be headed to ….. Bill and Joanne, Stripe and the Red Rooster B&B. After your first visit don’t be surprised if you don’t hear the proverbial “y’all come back now” when you leave ……… you won’t need the encouragement ….. you’ll be back!

My husband Eddie and I came for an early Valentine’s get away and stayed two nights. We couldn’t be more satisified with the best hospitality we have ever experienced at a bed and breakfast. Bill and Joanne are two of the kindest and loving people we have ever met and they honestly treat you like family. We enjoyed the wonderful breakfasts and the good conversation. They even invited us to a party at some of their friends home and we had a great time with lovely people. We love their dog Stripe too. We will be back and highly recommend The Red Rooster Bed and Breakfast to everyone!

We had a fantastic time. We only live about 40 minutes away, but we felt as if we were 100 miles away, totally relaxed. The house is beautiful and the hospitality is fabulous. The breakfast will melt in your mouth, it is so delicious!! We cannot wait until we have another free weekend to be able to get away again. Thank you for a wonderful time of relaxation, rest and a belly full of delicious food.

I just stayed the one night, but I was very much impressed with the Red Rooster and I am sure I will return in the future. Joanne and Bill Hollingsworth, treated me like family and it was like being in their personal home not as guest but as friends or a family member would be treated. Getting up on Sunday morning, I think I counted over a dozen deer and one wild turkey grazing in the yard. The view from any point around the house is breath taken.

We are so glad we chose the Red Rooster for our memorable anniversary trip! The scenery & inn were gorgeous–an ideal country escape. Bill & Joanne are two of the kindest, most welcoming people I’ve ever met. They made us feel valued and appreciated as people and guests.
Joanne’s breakfast was the best meal of our trip! We had egg & bacon casserole, cheesey hashbrowns, and blueberry muffins. Outstanding!
The Canyon Suite was spacious, charming, and very comfortable. The toiletries and loofah sponge were a nice touch. We also enjoyed the homeade cookies!
We had so much fun exploring the area. Some highlights were the antique stores in Bell Buckle, picking strawberries at Valley Home Farm, touring the George Dickel distillery, and dinner at Miller’s Grocery! It was a perfect trip, and we so look forward to returning!

Thank you so muchg for such an enjoyable nightin your lovely home. The house itself is beautiful, but your hospitality even more so. You were so gracious allowing us to arrive late and then directing us to the quaint little cafe in Bell Buckle. Everything was wonderful-even down to the prayer before breakfast!

A stay at the Red Rooster is more than a night on a mattress with a fine breakfast to follow. It is an epiphany of what a B & B should be. on a scale of 1 – 10 this experience is an 11!!! Roberta and I have been staying at B & B’s for almost 40 years and we have seen it all – the good and the not so good… This place is way up there – perhaps in the top 2 or 3! Was there anything we did not like – - – Yes….LEAVING!

It was SO great meeting you and staying at your beautiful home. ( I hope some of your decorating skills will rub off on me!) We loved how friendly you both were to us, and getting to know you was a joy. We feel like we are friends now! Stripe is one of the sweetest dogs we’ve met. He added another great dimension to our stay!
This area is beautiful, and we hope to return sometime to the Red Rooster! The Moon Pie and RC Cola festival was Fun! Bell Buckle is a cute, fun town.
Right now Stripe is on the couch snuggled up so tight against me —-I don’t want to leave!!

Joanne and Bill,
This has been a wonderful place to spend our 11th wedding anniversary! You have a beautiful home, with a gorgeous view. Bud was leery of a B&B, (being the semi-redneck he is), but you have made him so comfortable with your friendliness and southern hospitality! We will certainly look forward to returning to see our “new friends”. We hope you’ll come see us in Chikamauga.

We had a great time stay here! Was in Bell Buckel for a workshop, Joanne and Bill got up early to have a wonderful breakfast ready for us. The rooms were nice and spacious, with a great sitting room that overlooked the beautiful landscape of the rolling hills of Tennessee. Their flower gardens are wonderful, and there is a path that leads you to a nice walk through the woods.
